Not sold on it ?

Got home seemed they installed correctly few weeks later keep getting alerts that the process was not finished installing . So not sure if the product and Best Buy tech just can’t handle volume of customers trying to use the tech service . Either way do not purchase the membership and software together. Waste of money . Just purchase and research the product individually to make sure it provides what you need

Zero Stars if I could
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As with any other "anti-virus" products, this is a waste. It's free, so there's that, but will install bloatware. If you are simply smart about your browsing, you'll never need anti-virus software. Anti-virus software becomes outdated within a few weeks of installing it anyway.

Posted .There's unfortunately a lot wrong with these statements. To start, Webroot does not include any bloatware - the file itself is smaller than 5mb and the software is consistently reviewed as being one of the most lightweight antivirus solutions available. 2nd - Being smart about your browsing is certainly important but it does not replace an antivirus solution.
I'd recommend keeping a paid antivirus solution up-to-date if you do not want a malware infection on your computer.

Posted .Viruses are always written for a specific platform. A virus written for Windows can only run on a Windows machine. Now consider that the aim of a computer virus is to spread to as many other machines as possible, much like the common cold spreads through the population when we hit winter. Attackers are obviously going to most often target the platform that the majority of people use in order to get the best return from their attack. And that platform happens to be Windows. Mac systems do still have vulnerabilities; however, they are not exploited as often as Windows is. That being said, there are plenty of threats designed for the MacOS, and that's where Webroot will be valuable to you as a Mac user.
