Product does not work with my Norton Security. I experienced this problem the last time I purchased Webroot when I purchased my new tower back when. It may be a good product, but it just doesn't work well with Norton.

Not sure about webroot, its fine if you don't have an anti-virus. But very recently, 10-20-20 or so, I took my cpu into the geek squad in battle creek, they removed Norton from my computer telling me that it was slowing my cpu down. They instead replaced it with webroot. Once I got my cpu home and started using the internet, my computer was lagging like crazy more so my wepage loading. So I took webroot off and put norton back on, well my cpu is running much better than with webroot. I'm not so sure the lady knew exactly what she was saying when she told me this was better?

Web root States it doesn’t have any spyware and I was told by my total check that spyware is turned off. My firewall also got turned off and web route during scan. States it doesn’t have any spyware and I was told by my total check that spyware is turned off. My firewall also was turned off by the program. My firewall also was turned off by the program. There is conflict between the windows security so you need to decide how do use each application as necessary On a daily basis. Not all antivirus malware programs etc. catch everything.

Even that generally speaking Macs don’t require too much extra protection to be reliable against viruses, spyware, etc It was offered to me because it could be installed in up to 3 devices including androids or Microsoft ones. So I noticed that the program goes beyond scanning for threads but for duplicates and waste which is good to maintain the device running smoothly. Paradoxically the program itself is too heavy which made one of my oldest laptops to start acting up.

When it is finished scanning it does not always indicate everything and it does not correct it many times it will only report It continues to say 7 Threats Removed but does not report which ones and does not reset to zero threats. It is like the boy that cried wolf! We don,t know which threats need or are removed Perhaps the Kaspersky System was better as long as since they are Russian that they do not spy on or harm our data bases.

It's probably an okay security system but totally unnecessary when you have a great system already. In my case, Norton 360+ which could actually be compromised if you download another security software system, including McAfee (Webroot). Use it if you don't already have a solid security system in place but don't get rid of an already good system in order to download this one.

Stop annoying renewal messages - I have renewed!!

I was glad to renew this when I was in the store for other business; however, for days now I've been getting a notice on line to renew my Webroot. It appears that my paid renewal has not been matched to whatever system is necessary to stop the annoying messages every time I open up my laptop. I would be five-star completely satisfied if this were not happening at an annoying rate.

This product was charged to my account without my knowledge as part of upselling a purchase I made. I had tried it a few years ago when I purchased a laptop, but I already have a program that I had signed up for to protect my internet security that has provided excellent anti-virus protection. I cancelled this product since it's not compatible with the one I had purchased already.

I got this because my computer contracted a virus for some reason. It cleared the original virus out and after a few months even with its protection and cleaning everyday it contracted another virus and I was rarely even using the internet and mostly on school websites other than that it was google. Why pay money if it’s not going to hold up it’s end of the bargain. I recommend you try something else.

No need to get this installed. Microsoft Defender Antivirus is an anti-malware component of Microsoft Windows that comes with its own free anti-spyware program for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows Alternatively, Norton is still the big-boy on the block when it comes to security and protective software. Webroot is the new kid in learning.

Webroot does not have a cloud backup. There is supposedly "an alternative backup and recovery solution which can be included as part of your current subscription". See https://www.webroot.com/us/en/support/mac-backup-and-sync. If there is, no one at Best Buy or Carbonite seems to know about it.

This product came as part of TTS purchase. Have not installed as search for this product did not show as a top ten product. Plus we already had a McAFee LiveSafe subscription (running thru 2020) which ranked third in the above search. Hopefully the TTS service will pay for itself as it already reduced installation costs on Refrigerator and TV purchases

Webroot is the lightest software to hit the security industry in years, we are technologically light years ahead of our competition regarding journaling and remediation of threats.  There are free programs out there definitely, however, sometimes, you get what you pay for. We are confident that you will see such value in this solution and the security and peace of mind that it provides that you won’t think twice about the cost. Or think of it another way, it costs less than a cup of coffee or tea each day to keep your computer safe and you are still able to use it while surfing online! Webroot

I received this product as a free bonus because Geek Squad did some work on my PC, but I was already pretty happy with the A/V software I had. Main reason for the uninstall was the high number of false positives: for instance, it flagged everything I downloaded from a very popular and reputable gaming site. Went back to what I had.

Webroot Secure Anywhere is a decent antivirus software. However it requires paying a yearly subscription. I rather use an Antivirus that's free. If I have to pay a lot of money for something like Webroot please sell me a basic software that doesn't require any renewals for a subscription.

I have not yet installed it and am waiting for a family member who has previously installed this on their system to install mine.

Viruses are always written for a specific platform. A virus written for Windows can only run on a Windows machine. Now consider that the aim of a computer virus is to spread to as many other machines as possible, much like the common cold spreads through the population when we hit winter. Attackers are obviously going to most often target the platform that the majority of people use in order to get the best return from their attack. And that platform happens to be Windows. Mac systems do still have vulnerabilities; however, they are not exploited as often as Windows is. That being said, there are plenty of threats designed for the MacOS, and that's where Webroot will be valuable to you as a Mac user. Webroot
