This came as an add-on to my new laptop. It seems overkill since the machine also had similar programs from Microsoft and McAfee (also a paid add-on). Not sure how functional this product really is.

Webroot was highly recommended and is a great protection for the 3 laptops I installed it on. I am looking forward to a year of not worrying about my laptop security.

Right now I guess it’s the best out there. Wasn’t so compatible with Mac. Lots of smart folks there but can’t raise them to help with an issue. Lack of coordination with Apple is unprofessional.

Loaded the Webroot software onto my Mac, but I did have a few problems with shutting down my PC, likely some conflicts. Looks like a good ant-virus program, but I will stick to what I have now.

Seems ok . Used my Best Buy tech membership and purchase as bundle . Got home seemed they installed correctly few weeks later keep getting alerts that the process was not finished installing . So not sure if the product and Best Buy tech just can’t handle volume of customers trying to use the tech service . Either way do not purchase the membership and software together. Waste of money . Just purchase and research the product individually to make sure it provides what you need

I had to go to Best Buy and have them put the download on a disc, then insert it into my computer to download Webroot. There is competition between Webroot and the security system built into the MAC. For instance, by downloading Webroot, you might not be able to do a MAC upgrade in the future. Also, they both offer "Cloud and Sync."

Well, Webroot is keeping my computer safe, I hope. Setting up the personal account was less than friendly. I have not been able to actually log into the account because it won't accept my password. I have not had time to spend hours working with the Geek Squad to straighten out the issues that I may have.

I gave a lower rating because it would not work in conjunction with Bitdefender. I have, however, used it in the past and had no problems with its main function; though not as robust as others. The Geek Squad staff uses it and has their recommendation. I trust their experience with the product.

Every time I run the Analysis, it states that I do not have Anti-virus protection but this is supposed to contain anti-virus. If you have ever tried to get in contact with webroot - it's not easy.

The webroot antivirus gets its job done ensuring that your PC or other devices are able to remain virus free. Although it is reliable there is nothing special to the webroot software that any other anti viruse program can do

If I may start by mentioning our WIN Cloud http://www.brightcloud.com/platform/webroot-intelligence-network.php as all the work is done on there and not your PC also WSA only uses 3 to 6MB of RAM and up to 6 MB's on the Hard Drive for the Client and this is the future, it's here now! How can the other conventional AV's keep up with almost 500,000 new Malware everyday and over 142 million Malware in 2014 alone? Furthermore, Webroot has free Support as long as you have a subscription. Where as most other AV's don't have this! Webroot

Basically, bought it because I had only two choices with the Geek Squad Protection Plan, and I felt is was the better of the two. I dont like anything that auto-renews, and my first choice would have been PC Matic.

These products are all comparable. The trick is ease of use and this product is one of the easier ones it still Needs to be simplified in its instructions.
