It has been recommended frequently however, it is difficult to configure and caused extreme delays in keyboard entry. It is possible that this may improve but it is concerning that it takes special configuration on a Mac to figure out.

It took $250 to clean out my computer. The bottom line, this software offers internet protection but not network protection. This is where the malware struck.

It sounds as if you have been scammed as there is no way that it would take $250 dollars to remove an infection, and it is highly unlikely you had a "network infection."
Webroot offers free support for our products and free virus removal. We would advise requesting a refund from the company you paid that money to, and potentially report them if they are not a legitimate company.
In the future, please contact Webroot if you believe you are infected.
