This will only occur if there is a pre-existing threat on the system that would cause this.
I would advise contacting our support team and they can install Webroot and ensure that it removes the infection properly, without collateral.

Because of the way that Webroot works, it will not detect threats that another program has identified, that is how conflicts between AVs arise.
It is also likely that the issue you are experiencing was unrelated to a threat, and related to a Potentially Unwanted Application which is not malicious, just causes popups and ads.

Once I contacted customer care and provided them with my product key code, they informed me that I purchased a 90 day subscription only. I'm still not sure why the covers essays "2" year protection.
