    Honestly the days of paid AV are over. This came with my monitor, which I will never install or use as I use Windows, and Microsoft Defender works just fine for what I do. As long that you are not going to sketchy places, you shouldn't need a paid AV software.

    I keep getting harassing emails about this product because Best Buy included it for free when I bought a monitor. I did not see that it was included when I bought the monitor, so I don't know if they gave me an opportunity to opt out or not. Now I get an email every other day telling me to sign up.

    Chances are, your internet service provider will include an antivirus package for free. You may also be able to configure Microsoft Defender for adequate protection. I saw no value in this short-term, freebie add-on. Didn't use it.

    I’m a Linux user. OPNsense, Clam AV, Mulvad VPN and a few other options available. I have a homelab that out of Web Roots wheel house. It’s useless for my needs.
