Webroot Pesky Emails

I have been getting at least an email per week from Best Buy that is pestering me to redeem an offer for webroot. I am likely to check if another pestering product trial is attached to anything I’m considering buying at Best Buy and buying it elsewhere.

As a former Webroot customer I remember periodically thinking "I wonder if this is actually doing anything for my PC." One day I let it lapse and switched to the built in Defender and uh. Yeah I haven't noticed the difference - well aside from fewer irksome pop ups.

This came with my monitor, which I will never install or use as I use Windows, and Microsoft Defender works just fine for what I do. As long that you are not going to sketchy places, you shouldn't need a paid AV software.

Harassing emails if you buy this

I did not see that it was included when I bought the monitor, so I don't know if they gave me an opportunity to opt out or not. Now I get an email every other day telling me to sign up.
