If that won't work for some reason, say the comptuer is too old, maybe still has win7 I recommend the free version of Avast only.

It was able to run most of the apps i use very well. The s-pen worked great. I was please with all the systems of the tablet, the sound, video were great. I wish it had good Linux support though.

This free subscription came with one of my other purchases to use as a three month trial. Works on both windows and Mac which is pretty solid.

The firewall of windows is enough to protect your computer. Installation of any antivirus normally slows down the computer. It is no different. If anyone want to install it for the peace of mind, I wouldn't discourage.
