    It's worth trying out since it's free with purchase, and it does its job. Not bad if you know how to manipulate it to your needs, but some of my friends had a hard time figuring out the basics. Sometimes it acts up on me, but overall it's pretty decent.

    It seems to work just fine. I do enjoy the fact that it notifies me when something on a website is fishy. As to ease of installation, it's really easy to install something if you have Geek Squad do it for you.

    This came with the computer from Best Buy at no additional charge. The HP computer also came with McAfee security. I installed this, and the McAfee kept popping up with the 'pick me, pick me' messages. Got a bit confusing for tech challenged old phart.

    I previously had Kaspersky and found it limiting. Often had to disable it to download updates to safe sites (i.e. iTunes). Webroot is much more user friendly and still provides protection I need.

    I carried my computer into the Geek Squad for repairs due to it running very slow. Part of their solution was to remove Norton Utilities, PC Matic and Driver Detective. They sold me Webroot as a better solution. I cannot not tell if it is better or not.
