I was introduced to Webroot through Best Buy, and I love it! I have had it for a number of years now, and I wouldn't use anything else. It is easy to understand, it catches things right away and notifies me. I listen to it and don't go to the page. I also like the emails that they email giving me additional information. They have kept me informed about viruses and other things desire to invade my computer.

I got this for free, and it seems to work well. Not sure I would have bought it on my own.

I got this free for 6 months with my laptop purchase. Been using this for 2 weeks now and so far so good. Doesn't hog your CPU. Def has more options over windows defender. Using CAPTCHA option to validate any configuration change protects against malicious virus / trojan attacks.

Webroot heavily recommended by the best buy staff is indeed a great product. Everything the best buy staff had said or told me about the software was correct. It doesn't take up any more than 900 KILOBYTES a far cry from Norton's and McAfee's 1-2 GB. Probably best of all is it doesn't come with any adware, just a little window after SCHEDULED background scans complete telling you the results of the scan.

This product was provided free of charge when purchasing the computer. Immediately upon starting up the computer I attempted to install it, and within 5 minutes Webroot began scanning, identifying and isolating trojans, spy ware, adware, and viruses. I followed direction to remove/isolate those, and additional very serious trojans were downloaded. Continued with trying to set up the computer for at least a week. Every second there was a pop up, could not get to any 'usual websites, etc etc etc. Finally. in my frustration, I restored the computer to its original settings and loaded my regular security and antivirus software. The computer now works like a charm . .. without a single trojan, adware, etc. This product is dangerous to use . . . makes me question why it is provided free along with the purchase of a new computer!

So far the program seems to work. Need more time to evaluate though.
