Customers are saying

Customers highly value Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security for its ease of installation, reliable virus protection, and overall performance without compromising their computer's speed. They appreciate that it comes free with certain purchases and offers satisfactory security features. However, some users have concerns about compatibility issues, potential slowdown of their computers, and the relatively short subscription length of six months.

Only got this product in October, switching from McAfee and it found several issues that McAfee did not catch in the year I was enrolled in. The price was similar and was recommended by Best buy.

I was given this free on Gray Thursday with my Dell system purchase. I already use another security software with my other systems so I never open and load Webroot. I have never used this so I can't honestly give my opinion on this one. I am sure it is capable. All my system are on Symantec Endpoint currently and I want to keep it consistent across my network. Is free, so I would use it if I did not have Symantec.

Went to have viruses taken off laptop, told them to leave McAfee firewall on, and to keep Google Chrome as home page. Went back and picked up laptop and they wanted me to sign a paper stating that it was satisfactory to me, I said I wanted to see what they had done before I signed, First they removed McAfee(which I had paid for) and Google Chrome was not my home page. They said sorry and yes the order said to leave both on. My option according to them was call McAfee and tell them what happened and see if they would restore it. No excuse for removing Google as homepage. Took laptop home and wasn't able to access most of my sites, especially Yahoo and also kept getting viruses on it. I. called Best Buy at least 3 times over the next few days before the issue was finally taken care, although there was a few hiccups for a few more days. For what I paid to sign on to the Geek Squad and Webroot I feel I spent way to much money for this service and some of those that I talked to trying to clear this problem up were not very friendly. I was really wanting to bring my laptop back and ask for a refund. Because of this not only do I feel I should receive something back for all the headache, but I will not be purchasing any thing from Best Buy again, although I may have to use your services if anything else happens to my computer, unless you want to refund my money and I will get it fixed somewhere else. Perfect for college students who download off websites a lot and open sites for research papers, it scans my computer every 4hours; I think six times a day is enough protection for even an hacker.

I lapsed on my security package, so I had tons and tons of spam and pop up and garbage on my computer. The Geek Squad recommended this security package and it's great. You won't be disappointed!

After using several other internet security protection plans, we decided to try the one that came free with the computer. So far so good. Seems simple and doesn't block things or sites that I use.
