When I initially went into the store to buy my MacBook Pro, the salesman told me I should also get some kind of protection. Now I don't know a lot about computer software or anything but he said he really liked we root and said it could be on 3 devices. So I decided to buy it and I installed it on the computer and so far it's so simple to use! I was worried it would be complicated and I wouldn't know how to use it but it's very simple, so I would definitely recommend this to someone who has little knowledge about this stuff!

Webroot is an excellent antivirus protection that is fast to install and easy to use. The quick scans only last about two minutes and you can use your computer while it is scanning, very convenient. It provides great protection for your computer. It may seem somewhat pricy compared to other antivirus protection but it is money well spent. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I feel that this is the first time I can honestly say I feel very secure with the WEBROOT Secure Anywhere Internet Security. I have used so many others over the years (Norton, Titanium etc) and still get viruses and problems. For some reason this one seems to be proactive. It gets to the "Root" of the problem before it even becomes an issue. I like the whole set up process. I just went onto the BESTBUY site and it walks you through it. You can also call an 800 number and they will also do the same. I would highly recommend.

Webroot is on two of my wife's devices. She surfs the web a lot and used to get a lot of trash so she needs it. The Windows/Microsoft stuff didn't seem to protect her. After a couple of months now her devices are still clean and operating. Maybe seeing that something is being blocked would be distracting but how do you know Webroot is working? Could be a good thing.

This came free with the purchase of my laptop. It was easy to install and seems to be doing its job. Plus it can be used to 3 devices.

I have used Webroot for all my laptop and computer protection. Never had a problem with it and it's reasonably priced.

Haven't had any virus issues. And virus' are a pretty regular routine for mom lol This has it under control, worth the extra security.

Had Norton anti-virus. It was pretty good but very restrictive & sometimes just took over my computer. Had issues with computer as it died on me. Had computer restored & Webroot installed. Not as complex as Norton & easy to use. Does the job very well. Also, less expensive than Norton. Would recommend to those looking for an alternative for security protection.

My MacBook Air has had no viruses and this software does exactly what it says it does! Keeps your computer clean and running fast!

laptop seems to be working okay so am assuming webroot is taking care of viruses. Just installed it the other day and that was easy.

Does what it's supposed to and is easy to use. Haven't had any issues in the 6 months that I installed it on my gf toshiba taptop

When it comes to virus protection, it is difficult to measure a products effectiveness, unless disaster strikes and it doesn't work. As far as using Webroot, it seems to work as well as any other virus protection software. But to get a real feel for it capabilities, looking to a review that compares multiple products might be the best way to go, rather than looking at a Best Buy review. That's what I did when given three different choices of virus software, when purchasing a new computer at Best Buy. I have also used Norton, which is a good product as well. From my experience: Pros for Webroot--very few popups, and no real interruptions. It works well in the background, and has a small footprint when it comes to use of system resources. Cons--if this is a con, but to work it needs a connection to the internet. My understanding is that the virus definitions used are not kept on the device, but are only accessible through the internet. Since the likely source of a virus these days is the internet, or received through something that comes from the internet (no one shares disks anymore) this does not seem like a bad solution to virus protection. Because it is web based, I don't ever get a popup notifying I need to update the virus definitions.
