I had to take it back to best buy and neither the Samsung rep or the mobile phone guy to install it. Had to go to geek squad, that guy took over 20 minutes trying to get it right.

I'm sure someone will rave about it as the best you can get, and I have my humble opinion, as well. I'm not really that security-conscious, even though my computer has been infected at times, but I lean more towards performance than security. So I use a certain free antivirus that does NOT slow my computer, in startup, normal operations, or shutdown, and I pay close attention to anything out of the ordinary running in the background. That way, I spend my time working, rather than waiting, and once in a while, I do some deep cleaning, or even reformat and reload Windows.

Webroot is not owned by Apple so we would not be an an official Apple product, though we have Apples permission to provide our app on both the app store, as well as being installed on a Mac. Webroot should not effect the performance of your Mac as it is currently the lightest Antivirus available on the market.
