Taken for $399. I would have installed the virus protection first if he had given it to me.

That by definition is malware. Buyer be aware if you give them permission you are giving up freedom from the very thing they claim to protect you from.

I apologize for the confusion. That is not malware. Malware is software used for malicious purposes. Webroot collects data from your machine in order to protect you from malware, the same as every other antivirus. Without that data and the permissions required the program would not work very well.
