i got this anti virus free at best buy for buying a laptop its better than norton anti virus protection

Worked well even in S America! No issues or problem thus far - thumbs up after owning it for 2 months.

I didn't really "buy" this, it came free with my recent laptop purchase. I have not yet even installed it, and don't necessarily intend to. What I don't like is its a 1 year subscription then of course I will have to pay more to re-subscribe.

Webroot Protection - enough said! It's simple to activate, but it gives you the protection you need.

I love the fact they give me this software free with my purchase, it protects my laptop wig everything!

I've been using personal computer successfully since 1983. I have used Norton successfully for 14 years and could have added my new computer to it for free because I have the three-device program and have only two computers using it. But, friends and the helpful Best Buy salesman recommended Webroot, and it came with a free 6-month three-device packaged with my new computer. Although Consumers Report didn't recommend it, friends and some websites gave it good reviews. After the administrative preliminary procedures setting up a new computer, I installed Webroot. When I accessed my browser, I got an immediate notice that I should turn off unnecessary programs in my Start Menu. I checked the Start Menu and found two Webroot Installers, both running. I couldn't find a reason for that, so I called tech. support. Reluctantly, I turned my new computer over to the tech-support rep. (In for a dollar, in for a dime). He told me I had one Webroot Installer and the other was malware posing as a Webroot Installer. I doubted that, but he insisted. He turned me over to another tech-rep to clean out the maleware. Three and a half hours later the rep. told me he had cleaned my computer, had set me up for another 1-year of Webroot, and added a life-time subscription of Malewarebytes, which I must have with Webroot (no one told me that), for $199.99. Also, he said my Webroot subscription was for one device, not three as advertised. I protested but paid because I wanted to escape with my new computer reasonably intact. Before leaving him I checked my Start Menu and still had two Webroot Installers running. I asked him about this. He said, "Just disable one." I asked him which one. He said, "Either one, it doesn't matter, they're both the same."

I have occasionally clicked a link on Facebook or other sites, and web root told me not to go there.

I had amazing service from the technical support. I had trouble installing the product--not because of the product itself but because the previous product left material on my machine which prevented the installation of WebRoot. Technical support took over my machine and spent a lot of time and really cleaned up other things as well as installing their product not only on the machine I bought if for but also for my other machine. Many thanks to them.

This was the easiest installation I've ever had with a virus type software. It's an awesome program and works behind the scenes while you are on the compter - and, what's great about that is that it does not slow down your computer as some other programs I've experienced do. Great software; highly recommend!

Great virus scan, it works on three devices. Plus it doesn't slow down the computer!

It's comforting to know that this software is keeping an eye on not letting viruses get on my computer.

Installed by geek squad so a no-brainer. Runs transparent and have had no issues of any kind todate.

I received this virus software free with my computer purchase. Not pre loaded, a disc and download. So far so good and I really appreciate that I don't know that it's there as it works in the background. I'll have to subscribe next year but it seems fairly prices. Time will tell how effective it is.

I haven't had any issues with virus or malware and the sofware runs without annoying alerts. I have used Norton 360 for years and it has a noticible performance penalty, especially on lower powered comptuers. So far, webroot is working well. Please note, I am running this on a very fast computer.

This program was highly recommended to us by the sales associate. It seems to do its job. No problems.
