I went through all the steps indicated to activate it . I got confirmation that I was registered with Webroot but have had no confirmation that the security system has been installed.

I apologize for the issues you are experiencing while trying to activate your account.
If you have already downloaded the product and entered your keycode there is nothing further you need to do to protect your system. The online management console or account is a separate entity and you are not required to use that to have full protection.
I would advise contacting our support team and they can work with you to make sure it is installed correctly, and assist you with your account activation.

This product would be great for a backup just in case you don't have one yet. This will do the job in the mean time.
