Webroot is currently the lightest Antivirus on the market so it should have no effect on how fast your computer is. If you are experiencing issues such as this, it would be best to uninstall and reinstall and then see if the issue persists. Posted .If I may start by mentioning our WIN Cloud http://www.brightcloud.com/platform/webroot-intelligence-network.php as all the work is done on there and not your PC also WSA only uses 3 to 6MB of RAM and up to 6 MB's on the Hard Drive for the Client and this is the future, it's here now! How can the other conventional AV's keep up with almost 500,000 new Malware everyday and over 142 million Malware in 2014 alone? Furthermore, Webroot has free Support as long as you have a subscription. Where as most other AV's don't have this!

I apologize for the issue that you are having with our software.
In order for any Antivirus to work effectively, it needs certain permissions on your system and generally administrative access.
Webroot does not gather any information on your system other than what is needed for it to protect your system and we do not share your information with third parties. I hope this helps.
