Webroot is currently the lightest Antivirus on the market so it should have no effect on how fast your computer is. If you are experiencing issues such as this, it would be best to uninstall and reinstall and then see if the issue persists. I apologize for the issue that you are having with our software.
In order for any Antivirus to work effectively, it needs certain permissions on your system and generally administrative access.
Webroot does not gather any information on your system other than what is needed for it to protect your system and we do not share your information with third parties. I hope this helps.
