Webroot is made to be compatible with Mac and Windows machine.
It is advised to have security on both as recent news shows the need for it on a Mac just as much as a Windows machine.

It's average, same old, same, anti virus product. It still allows Maleware to get through. I 've had to take my laptop back to Geek Squad to download another Maleware prevention. It needs to get tougher at prevention.

If you are referring to not needing protection on a Mac, this is a rumor that has been dismissed many times.
The Mac is just as susceptible to getting infected as a PC, and because of the way the Mac Operating System functions, it can be incredibly difficult to remove.
We advise installing security on all Macs, Windows machines, and android devices.
