Was given to me free with my laptop purchase so I can't complain. If I had to pay for anti-virus software I'd probably recommend going with a larger, more well known product.

Staff was so eager to point out that this is the best antivirus program on market and most of them use it, plus its a great $50 dollar value i was getting. Well they forgot to mention that windows 8 w/windows Defender is by its self one of the best antivirus and spyware programs and most critics and trade publications agree you need nothing else. Ive used only Microsoft Security Essentials since it was a beta and can say thats a true statement. So instead of saving $50 or obtaining software I really want . Best buy employees shoved a useless best buy exclusive product . Best of all opening the package finding a card Made for best buy exclusively. File13. My Vaio has been running perfect with Windows Defender.

There are free programs out there but when it comes to online security, you get what you pay for. Webroot is the lightest software to hit the security industry in years, and our journaling and remediation technology is the most innovative and advanced in the industry.

I was going to install the company's mobile app on my phone, too, to unlock some features that looked appealing. The mobile app installation(s) did not go as planned, because I couldn't find all the apps in the android market that the site specified. The instructional video referenced apps that weren't there. There was no way to email support a question. There was no live chat. Maybe it's great software; I wouldn't know. I don't have any patience for tech companies with poor support sites. I uninstalled this program and went back to Norton 360.

Posted .Our customers have the benefit of contacting Webroot personnel via online based email support across all time zones and geographies with an average response time of 24 hours or less, through our community forums where support is given by Webroot personnel and Community Advocates from across the globe, through Ask Webroot, through Twitter, Facebook, and through User Guides and tutorials.
If a specific video references apps that are not available, we are definitely interested in getting this corrected so that the experience for our customers is as seamless as possible, this is also true for getting a message into our support team. Incidentally, we took a look at the instruction video for the mobile setup on our YouTube channel and it does include all of the features that our mobile solution has to offer, your post mentioned that you had just downloaded the free version. I hope that this information helps clarify things for you.

I am glad I didn't pay extra for it, as it was included with a system purchase. I'm happier with Malwarebytes protection products which I already have registered.

Posted .That depends on whether or not you want to be protected from a virus when it is found in real-time, updated to the cloud, and then updated to your machine or if you want to wait for a signature update.

I got a MacBook Pro, which generally doesn't need a heavy duty security system and I've heard of this product causing problems and blocking necessary pop ups
