I have my own favorites and find that many big name or trending software for virus and other protection has it's own malware, bogs down speed or updates screw up the system over time. I uninstalled it right away. :-)

He was not too happy on a brand new pc.

I purchased a geeksquard support plan with webroot, 1st they tell me the Hard disk I bought from them 'bestbuy' a year ago, on 1st installation they said it was not working, they made me buy another Hard disk, and the computer they 'bestbuy' fixed with the plan now says "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting" for the windows OPS they installed with it. I called geeksquard, 3 times, it rang on forever with those computer assisted messages coming on every other time, I only got an agent on the line once on all three occasions, but she heard my complaint, said it was strange, asked me to hold for more than 20mins and never came back to me still trying to get them to fix it :-(

The download to my new laptop worked great...until 2 weeks later my laptop shutdown w/out warning. Upon taking it in, I was informed that my laptop came w/ Mcafee pre-loaded...and now I have 2 malware programs that are internally fighting each other, thus creating a new problem. So after McAfee was uninstalled, it worked fine. The 2nd unit I loaded it on was my desktop PC...as soon as I loaded it, my entire system went down and I have yet to figure out the problem. I'm not real techie savvy, so it's not easy to get in the mood to fix this new set of problems. Shall I go for the old, "3 times a charm" saying....nahhhhh, I'm done.

I keep getting viruses on my computer, and this is suppose to protect it. I've already had to go back to the Geek Squad for them to remove those viruses! It's a waste of money!

It was installed for a year and it never found any viruses or problems. If anything it seemed to slow my system down with more than average spinning pinwheels.

Never loaded it since the key number ripped off

When I contacted the company for new key and a free download, I got the key but never a download. I purchased a security program from a different company
