Free security programs are rarely worth installing and most are only trials. There is also no support provided by these companies so if something gets broken you are out of luck. We offer a lifetime subscription currently.

I have owned macs since 2007 and have never had a virus. While I thought I would give it a shot in 2012 with a recently purchased mac it did nothing for me and when I got a new mac in march this year I decided to not even open the case and throw it away becuase I got it for free.

We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. Webroot is currently the lightest antivirus on the market and should not slow your computer down at all. We have made huge improvements with our Mac product recently and we would advise giving it another shot.

After I brought the computer home, Webroot did not allow me to re-install my programs. Webroot would not allow me to uninstall itself. Because of this, a Geek Squad agent was dispatched to my house. He began his diagnostic of my computer by uninstalling the version of Webroot that was given to me and installed a "later version" ( two weeks later?).

Thank you for taking the time to write this review for us. Webroot is currently exponentially faster than Norton and will not waste your time with long scans and slow down your PCs performance. Norton will. We advise trying both and then writing a review once you have had a chance to see what Webroot offers.
