When I was searching for something there where several small pictures on the side with music and talking. I went back to best buy the next day, they told me o yes they can fix that if I sign a 1 year contract for 200,00 dollar. I was very Upset and went to the windows store, they took webroot off and solved the problem.

Called the Geek Squad for support, but after being transferred to FIVE people, not one of them could help me. After more than two hours on the phone and the five people, the call kept being disconnected. If I called back, that call was disconnected, too - this happened three more times. I gave up.

They clog your email with annoying emails daily and then when the subscription runs out it freezes the set up of your computer. They gave this to me as a bundle on my last laptop purchase and I did not install. The laptop is inexpensive so if something really bad happens I'll just get a new one. Just saying out of experience with last computer.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review for us. We advise doing some research into the product and how we differ from other antivirus companies. It is not advised to not have a security program on your computer.
You uninstalled my BitDefender, drat!

But, it came back with BitDefender uninstalled and WebRoot half installed. It took me a lot of trouble to re-install BitDefender. I was not told why you had installed WebRoot. When the name was mentioned before the service, it sounded like the software your technician would be using to clean up my computer.

A fresh uninstall/reinstall of the software should resolve slowdowns but you can also open a support ticket with the link provided and one of our support technicians can make sure there are no problems with drivers on your system.

He had no idea that macs don't get viruses, so he figured he needed it.. He thought it was being included free as well, until we got home and noticed that he was charged for it. Don't waste your money on Mac protection, they do not get virus's. I've had my Mac for 7 years and it runs like brand new.

Dosn't Run On Win. 10

As soon as I set up Win. 10 however i could not reboot it. All types of error messages came up. Finely had to reload Windows. Tried again same thing happened.. I called the Geek Squad and they told me that they never saw this problem before. May be something to do with latest version.

Then they still wanted to charge more for transferring files, etc. I don't know how you really know if a product like this is working. Really unhappy with Best Buy's service as we have been customers for 20 years. It will no longer be my "go to" for technology and appliance purchases.

In my opinion it's substandard to anti anything you can down load online for free. it's just something to make you feel good about security while you ARE ONLINE BUT HAS LITTLE OR NO CAPACITY TO PREVENT THREATS TO YOUR COMPUTER. IT'S ALL EYE CANDY WITH MINIMAL PROTECTION. There is much better stuff than this for free online.
