I did not know when I got it but after Best Buy could not help me at the store that day, I had to seek other help to set my computer up.. The person who set it advised another security to use as well as a local computer store. Was unhappy that I paid for 49.95 and did not use it.

Installed it once and it continuously crashed. Immediately uninstalled it and threw it away, which I've done every time I get a new disk since. Ask them to keep it in the store so you don't have to do the same.

So i would not recomend paid services when antivirus comes. Thank you.

Webroot works unlike any other antivirus on the market. Most Antivirus programs do not need the user to prevent an infection on their machine, that would not be a very good anti virus if it did. There are also no infections that have a .com file extension. It is advisable to use a premium antivirus as they also offer support for their programs.

Called Customer Service to ask why we were "given" Webroot and was told not to install with Norton because it might cause machine to crash. I am not a technical person so did not install based on advice from Best Buy customer service. Who's right Customer Service or sales staff. It's misleading to customers to include software without explaining everything.

I had to go back to the store and have them give me a print out of the code. Then after downloading it my windows crashed. I was told by a level 2 HP technician that webroot caused malware and viruses to erase my windows. I returned the computer and webroot for a refund.
