Posted .It sounds like from what you're describing you might just need to activate the new key code you received into your software to get the renewal notices to cease.
Please use these instructions to apply your new keycode to your software to update your subscription information:
1. Open the Webroot program and click the gear icon next to "My Account."
2. Enter your key code in the blank on the right side titled "Activate a new keycode” and click "Activate."
3. If a scan starts automatically, allow the scan to complete.
If this does not work or you have any issues with these steps, please email me your key code directly to: [email protected]

When asked I was told I needed this on my computer. When talking to the Mac techs about set up I asked about this. He then know I bought it as Best Buy and that Mac's do not need this. I will never purchase from Best Buy again and have this useless virus protector.
