When installing Webroot all you need to do is enter the keycode and let it scan. If you are having issues setting up an account you should reach out to our support team. They can walk you through the process and get this squared away for you.

Posted .Viruses are always written for a specific platform. A virus written for Windows can only run on a Windows machine. Now consider that the aim of a computer virus is to spread to as many other machines as possible, much like the common cold spreads through the population when we hit winter. Attackers are obviously going to most often target the platform that the majority of people use in order to get the best return from their attack. And that platform happens to be Windows. Mac systems do still have vulnerabilities; however, they are not exploited as often as Windows is. That being said, there are plenty of threats designed for the MacOS, and that's where Webroot will be valuable to you as a Mac user.
