WE UNINSTALLED THIS AFTER A WEEK. WE WERE NOT HAPPY WITH IT HOWEVER IT WAS FREE WITH THE PURCHASE OF OUR COMPUTER SO IT DID NOT COST US ANYTHING.

Failed Protection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This software failed to protect my two PCs within two months of installation and it cost me $300 to get them cleaned up after malware infestations. Webroot told me after the fact that they have a team dedicated to free malware removal. That tells me they know they have problem. They also ignored both email communication I sent to them (at their request). WEAK product and unresponsive customer "care" says avoid this software/company. Oh, and this software cripples your browser when it is scanning which is very frustrating. Youu just have to do somethong else for 7-10 minutes while it does it's thing (miss malware)

We have free malware removal so that you don't have to pay for it. There isn't a perfect antivirus in existance and there never will be one, however, Webroot is leading the industry with innovative, cloud based technology and protects its customers in real-time. This means that if a virus is found and blacklisted on one system, it is automatically sent to the cloud and to every other machine that has SecureAnywhere on it.
It sounds like Webroot was not installed properly on your machine, it should never cripple your browser. Did you open your support ticket with the link below? I'm asking because our support system is ran 7 days a week and you should have a response within 24 hours.

When you purchase Webroot you are notified of automatic renewal and given the ability to opt out. We also send multiple emails throughout the life of the product notifying you of this with the ability to opt out at any time.

I now deeply regret putting it on my computer. It requires registration each time the computer is switched on and it has proved impossible to uninstall. The pop ups asking me to register occur every two minutes. The company's goal would appear to be to make it so difficult to remove that you opt to renew. Whatever you do, avoid this truly dreadful product.

It's a headache wouldn't pay a plug nickle for it or use it it kept wanting to remove stuff it thought was a virus and it wasnt ... wouldn't give it to my worst enemy!!!!!!! after I got rid of it things started working and downloading right.

As soon as it installed, it locked up on the finalize page. Yup... so smooth I didn't even know it was running. Good thing Best Buy's return policy is excellent.

Microsoft Security Essentials or the builtin Windows Defender are good enough. Unless you are getting some sort of liability coverage with this software, it's not worth anything at all.
