I've used it on Windows PCs for years in the past as recommended by Best Buy. It's easy to use, since it works in the background automatically. I guess these days even MACs need extra protection and I trust Best Buy's recommendations.

The version that you receive with your purchase is a free 6 month subscription.
If you paid to purchase a yearly subscription you may be installing the wrong one.

I never go to unverified and unsafe websites but it's good to have extra security when surfing the internet since my McAfee trial expired. Good product for the $50 price in my opinion.
