    I had a free anti-virus program downloaded from the internet and it caused me nothing but trouble (in the form of bloatware and viruses). After getting Webroot installed on my laptop, my computer has run smoothly without any viruses at all.

    I was running both MS Security Essentials and McAfee virus protection on the computer that I use for personal use and work. A Trojan Horse virus got past both protection systems but was stopped by the Geek Squad and Web Root. To date (1 month) there has been no recurrence and my separate laptop has stayed clean since I installed the Web Root system on it.

    I had a different Anti-Virus program for several years that I had to scan and update on a regular basis - and then had a "bug" that caused Geek Squad to return my laptop to "factory settings'. YIKES! How was that working for me? Webroot works behind the scenes and I have had no problems since. Computer security is the LEAST thing I know about computers.
