The 1-yr. protection came with the purchase of my Acer Notebook. It was installed at the store, and I have the disc should I decide to renew. I like the feature of an alert about risky sites that you can immediately avoid. I would consider to continue using after the 1-yr. period and am confident about virus protection with Webroot.

It came free with the purchase and is doing everything it's supposed to. . . I guess. Was told by a "Geek" that the WebRoot conflicts with McAfee so I've let the latter expire. Always the drama.

Had Mcafee already installed on laptop, but kept giving me trouble with my wifi and was not able to access anything. uninstalled mcafee and installed webroot and have had no problems since.
