Subsequently I found out that it was a six month trial and then a monthly cost. I would not have taken it even though it was free if I knew the subsequent cost. I am a Comcast customer and I get Norton free. Your managers need to explain and ask questions to determine the customers needs.

Posted .Norton will slow you down, but I understand your want to take a free security product. However, Webroot is more effective, efficient, faster, and updates automatically (keeps you protected in real-time because you don't have to wait for signature updates).

Fortunately there was a very knowledgeable sales agent who asked me questions, and then actually LISTENED! Turns out the research ahead of time was helpful but not complete. Best But had a unit (on sale!) that satisfied the criteria plus some. Bonus items were touch screen multi-function laptop configuration, Windows 10 (not good in beginning if you've never used it before) and extras, extras, extras. The Gigs of storage helped me consolidated the various separate vendors wanting to charge $$$ for what I now don't need. I did go with the 3 year warranty, OK call me sucker, but we'll see who's laughing later!

There were not very many directions and it walked you through the entire process. It automatically scans for you as indicated by webroot. In between scans it ensures protection also. It allows you to initiate scans in between scheduled scans.
