    Webroot was very easy to install and it quietly runs in the background and doesn't seem to compromise the speed of the computer. In fact, I don't even know it's there until I get the notice that the scan has (or has not) found a security issue.

    It does the trick. I haven't really tried exploring what else it does. I just know its a cheap alternative to Norton or AVG (because it was free in the bundle I purchased).
