I haven't tested them for hot drinks since I don't drink hot drinks. I haven't recommended these mugs to all my coworkers and friends.

Hard to find for hot drinks.

The best of Contigo

The one drawback of the larger cup is that it doesn't necessarily fit in the side-pockets on backpacks.
