Needed more storage space for my Xbox 1, this sweet device works perfect. I can easily swap it between my two xboxes. Oh you can also use this on any pc.

I missed the $39.95 sale on this by a day, and so took advantage of a coupon that reduced it to $44.95 - which is a good price for a TB of portable storage. Item just plugs in and works on Windows, no surprises; it transfers data at the speed I expect more or less, and just does what I want for my portable storage needs. This is my 3rd WD MyPassport, 500GB, 1TB and 1TB, and I use them on multiple machines in multiple locations, plus use them for backing up (routinely) and transferring data (when setting up a new machine)

I bought this portable hard drive for my son to save all his music he makes so he do not lose.. he makes beats and I just want him to be able to continue and keep up with his work. Going to buy another for myself.

I bought two of these as they were a great price at the time. They are working fine so far. I seem to have better luck with WD drives than with Seagate.

goo deal for a small backup hard drive. I am backing up work items and spreadsheets, not a million pictures, so this suited my needs well. Pretty good backup speed, but use the 3.0 port

This drive was truly plug-and-play and works great as a backup drive for my work files. (I did not use the included software). The unit is slim with rounded corners, making it super portable; I just slip it into my laptop case and go. I do wish the supplied USB 3.0 cable was a bit longer, but other than that, I'm very happy with this drive.

I have this drive hooked to my Asus Wifi router to share media between all our PCs, phones, and TV. Works perfect and is always on and available on the network.

Using this drive to expand the storage capability of an Xbox One because the internal drive was full. Been running for about a month now with no problems so far. Sometimes the Xbox does not turn the external drive off, sometimes it does (still a bug in Xbox One console software). Wish they would fix that. Hate to see the drive spin 24x7, but it is surviving so far.

I upgraded my old PC and needed to transfer my files to a new PC, so decided to get an external hard drive. I can't believe how small and light this is, yet was fast enough to transfer all of my files in a reasonable time. I'm glad it had both the USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports. The price also can't be beat. Would definitely buy again.

Purchased two so I could copy old home movies for my sons. I purchased this model because it works with both windows and mac.

Great for storing AV and other files on this handy sized HD. To bad that Western Digital discontinued this model...

Couldn't beat this deal! $39.99 for a 1TB external drive. This is the second time I've caught this deal. This one is for my brother who is a first time dad; now he will have a dedicated drive for all of his daughters photos...and there are tons of them already :). This is going to be his Father's Day gift.

I picked this up for my PS4 since it is constantly running out of space now that every single disc requires an install. This hard drive works great and required no effort to set up, just plug it in the usb 3.0 slot. Be advised the PS4 only has two slots and this permanently occupies one.

1 Terabyte, USB 3.0, WD brand...win, win, win situation. I have used WD products for many years, and this portable hard drive is great for storing videos AND music. The price was great! Ordered the drive online and had no problems picking up. Told several friends about the bargain!

While the performance is not spectacular, the price I paid was.For the deal of the day the drive was marked down to $39.97, an already excellent price. However, I had $10 of rewads, so $29.97 for a 1TB external HD is unheard of! Keep your eyes open if it goes on sale again.

I was quite impressed with the ease of use and the sheer storage capacity of the 1TB external drive. I was able to transfer over 3 years worth of pictures and videos pretty quickly. Definitely reccomend to anyone in need of freeing up space on PC or laptop computer!

Aside from fast data transfer, the hard drive is also handy & not bulky to carry.
