My second one of these. Back up pictures and important information from computer. Feel better if having extra copy plus can take with you to view at different location. Quiet and easy to use

I have two computers in different parts of the house. I have all my files stored on an external hard drive next to my main desk top computer. I wanted the same setup with my downstairs laptop. I copied the upstairs external drive to the small WD 1 TB USB 3 unit and it works fine whenever I want to look up something from the past with my laptop. I wouldn't be able to store all that information on the laptop's rather low capacity hard drive.

I like this drive as a backup, and i think the size is great! The only thing I found was that the cable included was a little short. Just a comment! Nothing to do with getting the job done!

Bought this External Hard Drive for the sole purpose of expanding the memory on my XBOX(both 360 and XBox One), and it does just that! Works great, transfers files quickly, and it's fast enough to play the games directly off of the external drive. My ps4 ran out of memory and I look into external hard drives and this one was the best one yet. Easy to install and operate plug into the USB 3.0 slot and that's pretty much it.

I haven't had a good backup system for my laptop, so I decided to get this drive. Plug and play. Decent size. USB 3.0 is reported to be a little faster than 2.0 so that's a plus.

Was able to get this on deal of the day for $40. Allowed my kids to expand storage on their xbox. Worth the investment. Great price for the amount of storage. Should've gotten 2..

This drive was purchased to backup two daily use laptops and to pass common data files between the home and work. Works great and still is small enough to fit in a pocket.

I wanted portable storage and I got it with this. I have always been pleased with Western Digital drives. Their customer service was great when I damaged a hard drive.
