college life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is useless in dorms due to it not having a digital or quam tuner. Unless you have a cable box I wouldn't purchase it. .

No Digital Tuner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model does not have a digital tuner according to the manufacturer and hands on testing. You will need a cable box to receive TV in HD. I think it will make a good computer monitor.

Great Basic TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to be used as a monitor for work. Since my work PC doesn't have HDMI, I use a VGA connection. I'm not getting a full HD resolution but it still works great for my needs. Bought it at $99 and it does everything I need it to. Great brightness, contrast, and colors. Can't beat it for the price! My only complaint is the TV doesn't tilt and has a slight inversion (comes in towards you), the base isn't that great. But it's not a monitor so I figured it would be static.

Great quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV for the exercise room, and it's a perfect fit. The TV is thin, light, and the stand is not too tall. (The stand was pretty hard to screw in, but overall setup only took a few minutes.# The HD picture quality is excellent #I recommend using Retail Mode instead of Energy Star mode for a better picture# and the audio quality is adequate #I'm planning on connecting to external speakers). Overall, this TV is a great value.

Only lasted 2 years
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought this for my mother because after 15 years her TV finally went out. I chose this TV because of name brand, it only lasted two years; I will never buy another Westing House brand again!

Very sweet little 1080P HDTV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is very good performing little set. Great picture, sound and ease. Plus for the price, you just can't beat that. I'm trying to save right now. My larger set went on me. So this will do fine.

Great TV except when using a streaming stick
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought two of these as part of our plan to go cable-less. We had bought a streaming stick previously thinking we could use it on one. Nope. The stick is about 2 1/2 inches long, too long to fit in the space allotted for Hdmi cables. The plug-in is positioned to point down towards the base instead of out towards the wall. The other TV we connected to an Apple TV that just uses a Hdmi cable and is working fine. Otherwise it is simple, and good picture. Nothing fancy but is worth the low cost.

Great small TV and computer monitor solution
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this unit after reading a lot of online reviews and the bulk of the complaints are justified: the onboard speakers are very tinny and annoying and the base does not allow for up and down movement; however, the picture quality is great and the ability to hook this up via VGA to my computer was exactly what I needed. I can easily switch back and forth between VGA and TV mode, and for a small bedroom, the size is just right. To solve the speaker problem, I went out and bought a $10 set of powered computer speakers from Logitech, plugged them into the Aux jack and adjusted the audio settings on the TV to heighten the bass. It's far from theater quality, but the sound is much more palatable. After all, this isn't the unit I watch movies on. GREAT deal for the price.

Impressive for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent picture even with video tapes. Many adjustments for picture size and sound. Small speakers but sufficient for my 12 x 12 exercise room with treadmill in use. Reception very good with small rabbit ears in basement approx 45 miles from source. May buy a second one while on sale.

So far so good. Just out of the box.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit just arrived today. Literally just out of the box at this point. Hook up simple and straight forward. Only difficulty is that the antenna that worked on the old tv doesn't get PBS, NBC or Fox clearly. Will have to try another antenna from around the house or buy a new one. This is replacing an old set with the Government mandated Digital Converter. The channels we DO get are bright and clear and the sound is good.

Great Bargain!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this set when it was on sale for $99. I have had Westinghouse TVs before and have been satisfied. This is an excellent size for a small bedroom. I think it has great color and sound. The only issue I have is Verizon doesn't have the code to sync up the remote. But for $99, it is quite the bargain!

Scan won't find any digital channels
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV for my son's apartment. The building only offers digital cable (no cable box). Ran the channel scan, which took almost 10 minutes, but didn't find any channels. Took the TV back to Best Buy. They connected it to their cable system, and it wouldn't find any channels there either. Replaced the TV, but it had the same results. I then purchased an Insignia TV which found 91 digital channels.
