Absolutely best bang for the buck!

A nice sized remote and full controls on-board are a definite plus too. All too easy to unbox & set-up. Adding my new antenna & new DVD player was equally easy. All this for a mere $69.99 + tax. While sound is respectable it is a bit unusual from others and while enough inputs are here for me, it does only have 1 HDMI input, sorta basic. But for under $75 after taxes these are really incredibly minor. Overall this is a great value. That it's from a recognizable brand like Westinghouse is just the icing on the cake.

Subpar picture quality and subpar controls

I would have returned it after one day but the store near me isn't open on Sunday. Black levels are poor which means that colors don't have good pop unless you over-saturate them, which is what this TV does out of the box. Compounding this problem is the rapid loss of contrast when the TV is viewed off-axis. The TV also reflects too much light, although most TVs this size seem to suffer from the same problem. The controls are also wanting. There is no backlight control - every other recent model TV that I'm aware of has one. There are also no numbers for the settings on the control panel - again something I've not seen on any other TV. Even at its price of $90, this TV is not a good value. The cheapest 24" Insignia is now priced at $80 and has noticeably better picture quality. I know because I purchased the Insignia after returning this model.
