Consequently, we had to move it to a room where he wouldn't be bothered by the smell and he no longer wishes to use it . He was the one we originally purchased it for so a big downer. Possibly in time the odor will dissapate but so far there is no indication of that happening. I usually don't write negative reviews but this was a big disappointment.

Anytime any music comes on or any loud noise at all, we hear a horrible brassy, tinny sound. It's like the speakers have gone out. The bad sound started happening a couple of weeks after we bought the T.V. so we just figured we were screwed. We have put up with this for almost a year and have finally decided to cut our loss and buy a new T.V. It won't be from Best Buy though. They can not even answer their phones anymore. They have lost my business. When you go in the store the associates are rude and unhappy to help you. This started happening before COVID so it's the store not the virus.

However, the feature that I primarily purchased this model for was disappointing—the built in DVD player. It began having trouble, freezing up and very poor sound quality, during play (brand new DVD that plays well in another machine) after only a couple of uses.
