    Failed after 4 months

    Purchased in April 2020 and by August it failed to operate properly when powered on... the Westinghouse logo appears for several seconds before the screen goes blank (TV shuts off), and then the same process repeats over and over. The power button will not turn the device off while this is occurring... only unplugging shuts it down. Occasionally, if I wait long enough (up to 45-60 min.), it breaks this cycle and starts to work. Once I let it go all day, hoping it would come on so that I could remove the DVD inside. I had registered the product with Westinghouse, who did not respond to multiple customer support attempts. BestBuy would have diagnosed (not repaired) the problem for the same cost of purchasing new. I guess I should have gotten the protection plan from BestBuy.

    TV works great. Very nice picture. DVD has same problem others mentioned. I purchased this TV 4 months ago. Previous Combo TV DVD lasted 12 years. Very disappointed. My daughter has special needs and I like the convenience of a combo player. This set doesn't fit the bill.

    The dvd player sucks!

    The picture is good. I bought the tv because it has a built in dvd player. The dvd player is junk. Every dvd video I play on it skips snd freezes. I would return it but I was dumb and didn't keep the box and canr find the rdcepit. So I'm stuck with 119.00 paper weight.

    Don't buy it if you need a DVD player. Skip it and buy a separate device. The DVD player malfunctions on so many functions. Returned it and bought another 24" TV and a separate bluray player. Oh, it had a nice picture... didn't help.

    The remote control was a total disaster !! Extremely user unfriendly. Do not purchase this unit. It is so very difficult to use. We returned it. We have many remote control units that are so much better for other devices.

    DVD Player On Unit Stops Working

    Bought one of these and within a couple months the DVD player stopped working. Returned to Westinghouse and they issued a refund so I bought another one. The DVD player on the new one went out too. Bought a Sony DVD player, plugged it in to the Westinghouse TV unit and the Sony played DVDs just fine. Moral of the story... Don't buy a Westinghouse TV/DVD unit. The DVD function will not last very long.

    the speakers are awful terrible sound. every thing else was fine, I couldn't hook up a new sound bar
