Is it a good TV for a budget

I would say go for 1080p if you can afford the extra $50 or so. I gave this to a friend and she is happy with it and recommends it.

Inexpensive tv for dorm

Had to return the first one as the remote did not work. Return process at Best Buy was painless. Otherwise, seems to be a decent tv for its intended purpose of basically being a video game monitor in a college dorm
