Too good to be true
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV 13 months ago. The picture is now black and there is no warranty after 12 months.. It will cost more to fix it than I paid for it. It had a great picture and worked well until it just went black. Look this TV up online for customer compliants. You will find a lot of complaints about quality. You get what you pay for and this is a cheap TV in price and quality. If you just can't pass up the low price, then you might want to get the extended warranty

Nice TV; Horrible Warranty/Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A few weeks after using this TV, the picture started to shift and flicker in the lower half, as well as freeze when exiting the built in apps--- Upon going through the warranty diagnostics steps with Westinghouse; it was determined that there was faulty hardware and it was eligible for a replacement. The only major, unacceptable issue is its to be shipped AT MY EXPENSE -- then upon receipt of the defective unit it will still be up to TWO WEEKS for them to turn around and ship a working unit back to me, meaning I could be without a working TV for almost a month--- (the cost to ship the TV almost exceeds buying a new one for reference) Really disappointed since I have another Westinghouse that is 15+ years old and still works perfect--- Get the Geek Squad and Beware of WestingHouse Support

Poor product/customer support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this tv from bestbuy.com on 11/28/2017, it was delivered on 12/07/2018. Tv worked fine until about 3 weeks ago May. Screen goes black, u can still hear sound, turn tv off and on several times, this resolves the problem for a short time, then i must repeat, turn off and on. I contacted best buy about manufacturers warranty. Was told i would need to email westinghouse, as i did not purchase geek squad protection...what??? It has a 1yr man. Warranty, I shouldn't need geek squad in this case. After several emails (no contact number for westinghouse), I still am stuck with this defective tv, to make matters worse, more than 10 emails back and forth with westinghouse (have requested to speak with a person, yet no resolve, as I was told in an email from westinghouse, email is the only option for communication). They are unable to open videos showing what the tv is doing, and will also not accept my proof of purchase from bestbuy.com, since I do not have a paper receipt. Should i just print one from my bestbuy.com account?? I have already emailed screen shots of proof of purchase...maybe email is not the best option for those who are not tech savy westinghouse! Again I purchased from bestbuy.com, it shows on my account that the product was purchased, price, sku, and model number. Worse tech. support/warranty I have had the pleasure of dealing with! Will not purchase another westinghouse product.

60 Hertz DOES hurt eyes for long hours of Viewing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hey look at the specs, its 60 hertz, thats why its so cheap. 60 Hertz hurts your eyes after hours of viewing, it gives you a headache. It is real simple, upgrade and get a 120 or 240 Hertz tv. Why do you think even really basic computer monitors are 70 hz, its so it wont give you headaches after hours and hours of non-stop viewing. Think before you buy, look at the Specs

NOT a 4K tv! not for use with xbox one!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this TV is not even at the lowest standards of 4k, calling it a 4k TV is an insult to other 4k tvs. i experienced several flickering, static movements on the picture while viewing ANYTHING in 4k mode, the picture just couldn't produce any content over 1080p without having a lot of issues. after messing with the settings and looking online for solutions, i found that buying a new hdmi cable might help. so i went she bought a fancy "4k hdmi cable" but that didn't help, the picture quality continued to be garbage. this was even WORSE on the xbox one S. i tried every single setting the xbox one S had, to display any games or video in 4k and i kept getting the error "your TV does not allow 4k higher than 24hz" and i thought that was fine, i could try it... nope, just refused to play any games without severe issues with picture, including a kind of "popping" flickering. i am going to return this tv and never buy a westinghouse brand ever again. this tv can't do picture higher than 1080p, it's a junk tv pretending that it can produce a picture like the bigger expensive ones but it can't. save yourself the time and money and just get a more expensive TV, because you really get what you pay for on this tv.

Nothing smart
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is categorized as smart TV. Wrong! It has only has Hulu, Pandora, Toon Toogle and Vodo apps. Set up is not easy - you need a Phd to figure out. I have Sony Bravia and set up is a breezy comparing to this TV. The only consolation I have is I got it on sale.

DO NOT BUY!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know if Best Buy will post this review because I cannot imagine that anyone has anything positive to say about this tv. This tv was available at a cheap price and had decent reviews.. Well.. It lasted about 3 weeks and then yellow lines showed up and it never stopped flickering. Best Buy would not take it back said it was under warranty with Westinghouse. I called Westinghouse. They had me send them about 10 pictures of the tv showing no damage, it's only 3 weeks old! Then they wanted to see the lines. Sent that too. They keep saying they need more photos for some ridiculous reason. Very simple. They don't abide by their warranty. Especially for this tv. It is a lemon of a brand and product. Go ahead and buy another pricier brand rather than get enticed by the cheap price they offer this tv for. Unless you just want to throw your money away. DO NOT BUY!!!!

Terrible refresh and lag is awful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give this TV a 0, I would. The lag was beyond awful. I turned on my Blu-Ray copy of Harry Potter and the Prisioner of Askaban and the audio was 1/4 of a second off. I took my blu-ray player upstairs to my samsung 32" and what do you know? It worked fine. I ended up taking it back the next day and exchanging it for the LG in the same class. Not to mention that terrible remote which you have to press the buttons at least 3 times for it to do anything. This TV is awful, please don't waste your time on this.

It's not actually smart at all
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It turns out that this TV does not come with a browser as one of it's applications. We have Playstation Vue and this tv is not compatible unless you add a device that would add access to a web browser or a playstation. Can you believe it, a smart tv with no browser? That is really dumb!

Glitchy screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wrote a very detailed review but Best Buy won't let me post it because it has inappropriate language which it did not. The short and sweet version is that this tv is not worth the cheap price you bought it for. Don't buy the Geek Squad plan because it DOES NOT cover your tv being fixed in home. You have to take it back. Like all of the people who didn't buy an expensive plan, except, they get to do it for free. 1 start is accurate.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV, within the first month it started shutting off on its own. Contacted Westinghouse, virtually no support at all and they wasted enough time to not support that I can no longer return this to the store to swap it out. All in all I would suggest staying away from westinghouse unless you just dont care

Do not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a good tv this is not a good one. There are preprogrammed applications and it is all that you can choose from. There isn't an application store and the quality of picture and sound is not good. I regret buying it.
