Got the tv home. Hung it on the wall, turned it on and it had an LED bleed on the screen. Was told because it was 55inch that geek squad would cover any problems, but at the store I was told no. I had to take it down and bring it back into the store

I purchased this when another TV failed. I weighed the options and when I saw the price of the Westinghouse over an estimated repair of a 47-inch TV, the difference in price was tilted toward the Westinghouse for the increased size. Since this was not going to be my primary TV for home theater, I looked deeper into the product's customer comments and found that the majority of buyers thought it was a smart purchase, scoring a 4.5 with just 1 single star of zero 2 star ratings.. Easy setup and impressed with the quality of the picture immediately. I have always calibrated my TVs knowing that in most instances out of the box, they are cranked up to the max because it may end up on the display floor at the store instead of someone's home. In the setup menu it asks "Retail" or "Home" and then verifies "Energy Saver Mode." I selected that mode and the picture quality was spot on without any further tweaks to brightness, contrast or color. I also left all of the "Advanced" setting alone. This is the first TV I can say this about - plug & play using the "Home - energy Saver mode." The picture rivals my 60-inch Vizio I use for my home theater and that is says a lot for the Westinghouse, which was less than half the price. 1080p, LCD/LED flat panel TVs have been on the market long enough now that the components used for a large 1080p Vizio, Sony, Samsung, LG or a Westinghouse are pretty much equal. As for the sound, the volume is adequate, in fact can be rather loud if increased to much, but out of the box for, my ears which aren't good, it was tinny sounding. I decreased the treble to zero and maxed the base and it cleared up that situation. The only knock I have for the Westinghouse is no analog audio out connection. This TV is for my elderly mother who needs wireless headphones to hear the sound. There is a 3.5 mini plug for a headphone connection but that mutes the speaker so if I want to share a TV show with her it won't work out. I was able to solve the headphones problem by using analog out from my cable box and Blu-Ray player into an Y-cord. We also have streaming TV - Amazon, Netflix and Hulu. For that I switched from Amazon Fire stick to Roku 3 where a different set of phones can be plugged into the remote. The caveat is streaming TV is muted for me. For the price, if you are looking for the standard TV and not wanting to make the jump to 4K Ultra TVs yet, this set can't be beat.

The television was very easily set up by the men who delivered it. We were able to understand how to use it after reading manual and the men explaining it. Love the television. The sound is great and don't even need a sound bar, so I am returning the sound bar we bought. I would highly recommend this television.

I was a bit skeptical of this TV due to some negative reviews I read online but decided to give a try anyway. Bought it at my local Best Buy store. Salesperson tried talking me out of buying it, claimed they are the "worst TVs on the market ". I am completely blown away that a 55" TV that costs under $350 would have such great quality. Definitely satisfied.

Just as good as my LG TV in term sound and clarity. My only 2 complaints is how cheap the remote looks/feels and more importantly that there is a large hump underneath the 1st HDMI port making me squeeze my HDMI cable into a hard 90 degree turn

I got this TV during a flash sale for $269! I'm so glad I did. It's perfect in my bedroom. It's been about 4 months. Great size, picture is vivid. Had some shipping issues but my local store was quick to fix it. I'm a happy lady!

I wanted to upgrade my Samsung 37". LG's OLED, HDR TV'S are the answer. Just too expensive now and by going to a 55" and rearranging my living space movies and TV have come to life again. I got this on sale for less than $300. Does it compare to an OLED? No, but it isn't meant to. I just needed to dip my toe back into the HD world and by re-energized again. Life deals us blows and when you can afford to splurge again this TV answered in spades. Looking forward to the OLED'S future and to the magic of UHD to come. I will be looking to buy my 5k 65" HRD dream machine in a year or so. Until then this is so much better. You need to sit closer than you think to see the magic.

My brother found this tv for me online as a one day only sale just before Black Friday. I was looking for a bigger tv that wasn't a smart tv because I have a fire stick. This tv has great picture quality, 3 HDMI slots (most tvs only have 2) USB slot (which I need for my indoor antenna) it has a v-chip & the speakers are loud... I don't need my sound bar anymore. Tv is thin & not very heavy. I also like the fact there are 2 feet and not a center stand, making it more stable. I am very pleased with my purchase :)

For the price and quality it's almost hard to believe even after using this television for four days now. The comments on streaming issues and gaming issues do not seem to be an issue for me here. We have watched hours on Net Flix, Amazon, and lots of game play on the PS4. Image is super clear and I feel like I'm at the movies now.

Couldnt be happier I took the chance on buying this. A 55" HDTV for under $300 (sale price was $279 when purchased) seemed too good to be true. This is NOT a high end TV with all the bells a whistles but the picture quality along with sound quality, this unit far exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a decent unit and don't want to spend a lot, buy this. You won't be sorry.

I bought this TV for Outdoor use. I keep it under a marine cover under my deck when not in use. The picture is great for the price. Whenever the humidity finally gets to it, I'll buy another equivalent.
