Doesn't turn off and volume is terrible

It does not turn off with use of remote, sleep timer, or side buttons. I have contacted Westinghouse multiple times to have this matter fixed and they want you to pay all shipping costs to send it back. Volume is terrible as well. I have it on full blast in a small 12 x 12 bedroom and can barely hear it.
