I was very pleased with the tvs quality picture and price ... for the 2 months I was able to use it for. Just shortly after buying this tv just for moderate Netflix and video games the screen just went black. No matter what I do, the tv after it flashes the Westinghouse logo it goes black screen on me. There has been nothing I could do on my own and so I brought it into our local geek squad at Best Buy - who then told me they don't work on tvs over 44" in store. Gave me a number to call to ship the tv somewhere to fix, which the estimate shipping cost was half the price of the tv itself which I got it on the deal of the day for only 250$. Horrible Company for tvs should've never trusted their products.

Tv looks nice and the picture looks nice.... that is when it works, I've only had the TV for a week and 2 days now, tv will randomly turn black and be unresponsive so I have to unplug from the power source, now when I start it bag up it gets stuck on the Westinghouse start up logo..... and now my only choices are to pay $100+ to ship to westinghouse, or drive about 100 miles to my nearest best buy.... just perfect

I purchased this TV during the online cyber sales and couldn't be happier! The UI is quicker than some of the more expensive models I've looked at and for the price it has excellent colors. Having the quick access apps has been handy and with my Samsung Galaxy S6 I can cast directly to the screen without the need of an external streaming device. Running 1080p Netflix is crisp and vivid. The internal audio is pretty heavy on the treble but with the addition of my 2.1 soundbar, the problem is no more. I have yet to have a problem with the unit and I don't expect to see one arising.

The TV lasted about 10 months then quit. Warranty is honored only if you repackage and ship to California. No easy task and extremely expensive. You may as well consider this TV to have no warranty. Low quality electronics, high failure rate, very poor foreign customer service. 2 thumbs down. 1 star.

Great TV Perfect Size for my living room. I do suggest that you mount the tv after purchase as it is rather large for a stand.

I had high hopes for this TV. They had an attractive design and these are interface was pretty easy to use. The picture was kind of hard to calibrate. It tends to be more saturated. In order to make the blacks look good you had to turn the brightness down. It wasn't very pleasing.but within one week the tv wouldn't respond anymore and would randomly shut off. In this case you get what you pay for. This doesn't mean it's bad. You just take a chance when you pay for an off brand tv.

As in other reviews tv locks up and has to be unplugged to reset. In fact I busted the screen moving it tonight to unplug it to reset it again. Started freezing as soon as I got it out of the box. Should have taken it back then but I hoped the problem would resolve itself.
Also unless I am missing something unable to add apps can only use what comes with tv.
Tried to go cheaper and this is what I got.

My sister got a special Christmas deal from Best Buy for $300 and she gave it to me as a present, it quit after about six months and after about a month of runaround Westinghouse agreed to repair it but the catch was I had to ship it back at my expense and after considering the size and shipping we decided to purchase a new TV, definitely not Westinghouse and I would recommend anyone to stay away from any of Westinghouse products.

You Get What You Pay For

If you want to buy a quality TV, don't buy a Westinghouse. Mine was defective, the remote won't work. So what does Westinghouse propose? Return my TV, wait a month, then get a refurbished model. Or, recycle my TV, wait a month, and either get a new one or get a check for what I bought my TV for. Why should I have to wait a month to get a TV? Why did I buy a Westinghouse and not a good brand, like LG, Samsung, or Sony? Their customer relations take days to get back to you and honestly, their return policy for defective TV's that are under warranty is truly awful. Don't buy from them, you get what you pay for!!!

Westinghouse's reliability is garbage... the TV broke in 6 months. While the warranty period if 1 year, they make you pay for shipping to Westinghouse, which costs hundreds of dollars. BUY ANOTHER BRAND!

Can I give lower than 1 star?? I wish .this item they call a TV lasted a little over 2 months ...it started shutting itself off. I thought just a fluke ..before long it shut off and I couldn't turn it back on without in plugging it and letting it sit for awhile . Called Westinghouse ..they had me unplug it hold the on off button for 60 seconds then plug it back in ..this worked 2 times then the red light ready button refused to come on at all . Called them back .they made me take pictures of the set and email this along with the receipt ..told me I needed to ship back at my cost in original box ..who saves a box for 2 months ? I boxed it up in a box from the replacement t tv I just bought only to find it will cost me over 200 dollars to ship to them ..hahaha this is more than the TV cost . They will not replace anyway just refund my money at best minus tax I asked best buy to help ship it back to them with no luck their . I could drive it their cheaper ..but wait ..they won't except anything physically dropped off. So whatever you do ..DO NOT B UY .. run

this is an OK TV for the price. the screen glitches a few times during intermissions, and the speakers are not all that great. I already had a surround sound system I am pleased with, but this TV does not have audio out (it has 2 audio Inputs - but who wants to listen to other audio on these speakers??) this TV does have a headphone jack....but its a 55" TV, why would you need headphones for a TV as big as the room?

Worst TV I Ever Bought

The only reason I give it one star is because it this page won't let me give it 0 stars! This was a very bad purchasing experience. To start with, the delivery date kept getting pushed back until it barely made it here in time for Christmas. That begin said - this is the worst TV ever. It constantly locks up, connecting it to a computer results in skewed images and mis-sized images that cannot be corrected through setup or multiple reboots. The Netflix app plays sound but does not show images without having to reboot (again). I spend more time rebooting this TV then I do watching it. I am not a stranger to devices like this. I have made my living supporting them for one of the largest employers in the nation. And don't get me started on their technical support. They were absolutely no help whatsoever - worse than most other tech support offices I have worked with. If you want to take a chance on this cheap piece of junk go ahead. As for me I won't be looking for another "deal." I'll stick with paying a decent price for a reputable product.
