This series is a brand new take on a classic movie adapted from yet another page turner from Michael Crichton. But this is not your parents Westworld. This dystopian future tale has been expanded and explores a deeper mystery as only HBO can do. Warning: this is a very graphic series. Violence, gore, nudity, sex, and adult language are prevalent throughout. I recommend this if you enjoy Sci-Fi, The works of Crichton, and want to explore more in the world of WESTWORLD! As for Best Buy, I ordered this online and was very pleased with the complete service they provided. I will utilize the online option again as the need arises.

The first season of Westworld was an amazing piece of television. The writing, acting, and cinematography was all incredible. If I were just reviewing the show itself it would get 5 stars no doubt. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is that the discs could be better. The show was shot on film, but the digital intermediate used for the transfer was only 2K. The resulting images have a minimal difference in clarity over the standard Blu-ray. That being said, however, the HDR is a big boost especially during the scenes set in the park's headquarters. Westworld requires the viewer to dig deeper into the details. Small moments can later become big moments. Characters develop before your eyes in ways that shock and entertain. Once you finish the series I can promise you it's worth starting over to catch important moments you might have missed the first time through. The packaging here is exceptional and the 4K picture quality on disc is stunning, even if the Vudu digital redemption code is disappointing in 1080p quality only.

Great sequence of TV show. Cant wait for season 3 to begin.

First season for the cost of a single movie, very good price

What an astounding series. I absolutely loved the original movie with Yul Brenner and James Brolin. A great premise for a show and it did not disappoint. A terrific cast and visually stunning shots, transport you to Westworld. Only if such a world existed...sigh. The extras are always motivation to purchase a Blu-ray set. I usually obsess about a show, and always looking for more content. Anxiously awaiting the second season, and of course, the next Blu-ray release.

Awesome Sci-fi show/series. Incredibly well written, directed and acted. A terrific expansion on Michael Crichton's original story. Jonathon Nolan and company adapted and added to this with their wonderful writing. Great casting. Many intriguing storylines all weaved well together through time. Thoughtful, violent but stylistic. Highly recommend.

I watched the first two seasons of Westworld on HBO Go and really dug it! While waiting for the 3rd season to air I decided to purchase the first two seasons on Blu-ray for my father, who is a huge fan and collector of all things "Western." Thankfully, the show passed his expert test and now he's also hooked. Definitely NOT for kids, but adults, enjoy away!

Having seen the original Westworld movie all those years ago, I was curious to see how they were going to work with the elements and update the concept to today's world. I think the producers have done an amazing job with the series and have hooked an all new audience with their relentless attention to details and technology advancements in this new cyber world! Can't wait for season three!!

The movie was basically cat & mouse with a killer robot hunting a human. Great fun, but not much more than that. The TV series takes on ideas only touched on or hinted at in the original movie and turns them into the basis for one of the best modern science fiction television shows of recent years. A fantastic series that explores some interesting ideas while still delivering a great, compelling story.

I love the show and when I saw this on sale in the weekly Ad, I immediately placed the order. The packaging is great. The blu-ray discs are stored securely in a booklet. There are nice pictures to show the scenes in the TV show and texts to describe the story. I can easily find it on the self when I need to. Must have.

An excellent reimagining of the Michael Chricton movie, jettisoning all but the base concept of the original to explore the consequences of man playing god and the definition of consciousness and humanity. Smart, thoughtful writing with more than a few ingenious twists supported by some excellent performances makes this a must watch for fans of intelligent science fiction and drama.
