This was a great movie—really surprised me. When I saw the slickness of this steelbook I had to go for it. The design is excellent! The spine looks great (it’s a drumstick), really just spot-on all around.

This film is absolutely flawless. Director Damien Chazelle modeled this movie after boxing classics like Raging Bull and Rocky, which creates a very unique and fantastic music film experience. My one and only complaint is the blu-ray cover. It sucks. The picture is really grainy and just awful. But the movie is A+

Absolutely fantastic movie! I rented this once and this is a great movie to watch again and share. It's very intense and will keep your eyes glued to the screen. My father, who just got a drum set and loves practicing, also loved the movie. Gives you a whole new perspective on music and perfection...

I rarely buy and watch movies on release day, but after having seen the trailer I really wanted to see this one as soon as possible, and I'm glad I did. It has fantastic acting and a great soundtrack, and J.K. Simmons' Oscar was well-deserved. This is a movie I will revisit a lot over the coming years, I'm sure.

Arrived in perfect condition and I got this for so cheap I might just use it to host the 4K disc if I get it. The drumstick on the spine cover makes it stand out on the shelf

Powerful. have always liked JK Simmons roles, but, this performance elevates him to top tier elite Actor. Wonderful storyline, kept me on the edge of my seat. Can't wait to re-watch, that good. Well worth the price.

I can relate to this movie, kinda. I played musical instrument through High School. So I can relate to some of what this movie portrays. If you ever played an instrument you can relate to parts of this movie.

If you are a fan of good dramas or a fan of music in general, this film is a must have. It features amazing performances from JK Simmons and Miles Teller and a wonderful soundtrack. It was nominated for five Oscars and rightfully won three. Definitely a must watch for movie fans of all kinds.

I heard from friends and read reviews regarding how INTENSE this movie is. They weren't wrong! It pulls you in, and if you love music you are along for the ride. If you aren't a musician, it is a realistic depiction of the blood, sweat and tears that go into improvement and mastering of an instrument. ENJOY.

I have seen a lot of JK Simmons movies but this one is a shocker! He really put his heart and soul into this movie I believe, because it sure takes you on a roller coaster ride right through the end......... Left me wondering "how could he?"......Gotta watch this one!!

I had the pleasure of seeing this in the theater and wasn't surprised when J.K. Simmons (Spider-man, Juno, The Mexican) won an Oscar for his acting! Miles Teller (Fan Boys, The Divergent series) was great as the main character in this film. I highly recommend this movie to movie buffs and to musicians!

Fortunately got the last in-store copy of this dramatic movie with Oscar Award winning performance by JK Simmons. Purchased from Best Buy only a day after its release on dvd, customer service was able to find its last copy for me at a discount price. The ability to download a digital copy is a real plus!

The steel case included with this film is one of the best I’ve seen at a price which is unbearable to say the least and I would whiskey recommend to a anyone who is a Blu-ray/Steelbook collector or even just your average guy.

I think I held my breath throughout this entire film. From start to finish, this movie just grabs you and doesn't let go. JK Simmons deserved all the praise he got for this role. Miles Teller was fantastic. The music was great, the plot was amazing and the final scene will have your heart pounding!

The design of the Steelbook is impressive and the film is one of the best I have ever seen. Great acting and a great storyline. Very intense throughout, funny, and thought provoking. Highly recommend this to all viewers (except small children due to language).

Took my high school and college musician sons to the movie when it came to theaters, but didn't tell them what I knew about the movie. They loved the show, and it sparked some great conversation. Of course we purchased it when it went on sale at Best Buy. Outstanding performances throughout!

Whiplash is a love story told in the most brutal way. Between Whiplash and La La Land, Damien Chazelle crafts beautifully tragic stories about love, music, and the people crazy and passionate enough to pursue it.

You wouldn't think a film based around a college music class would be all that exciting...but you'd be dead wrong! This is a wonderful and powerful film! Great performances by all included, especially J.K. Simmons! I had only wished that he ended up with the girlfriend too.
