JK Simmons is brilliant!!! Henceforth winning all of the awards that come with a great performance…Miles Teller is great too as the up and coming musician who wants to be the best… Some unexpected things happen leading to a great climax… Buy the movie…You won't be disappointed!!!

What can I say? This is a masterpiece, love this movie, so good, the steelbook is just on point, great steelbook. I already owned the previous blu ray steelbook, but man, I just had to get this one!

So happy I upgraded to the bluray. I was wishing for a 4k upgrade though. Movie is absolutely great. J.K. Simmons does an excellent job in this film. And the $7 price tag for the steelbook was a added plus.

This is a movie I would consider somewhat frustrating on certain levels as there are parts that will definitely leave you angry, uncomfortable, and awe struck all at the same time.

Everything you've heard about this tiny little film is true. It's one of the most electrifying movie experiences of the last decade. Miles Teller is a revelation and Oscar-winner JK Simmons plays a magnificent b*****d. Avoid third act spoilers in advance and watch Whiplash asap!

This movie is a great showcase of individual acting efforts given the plot's scope - Miles Teller has been one of Hollywood's up-and-comers recently so its great exposure for him, and to have JK Simmons in support can do wonders to bring out anyone's finesse.

While the profanity is not always necessary, the overall impact it leaves you with is stunned and amazed at the skills required to act and play. The scenes with any drumming in them (most of them) are incredible. Makes me glad my own band director was a teddy bear. :)

Whiplash is incredible. J.K. Simmons Oscar winning performance was breathtaking and enjoyable. Miles Teller was great as well. This movie had some intense scenes, yet it felt great watching the story play out. Definitely worth its' Best Picture nomination. Highly recommended.

This was a very emotionally driven story that will raise many emotions in the viewer. This movie shows the length some people, specifically one drummer, will go to, to be the best and how much abuse, both mentally and physically, one will put up with to work with "the best".

We never got a chance to see this at the theater, but we happened to catch it on a Free HBO weekend preview. It was so good that we had to go out and buy it! I can see why J.K. Simmons (the Farmers Insurance commercial guy) got the Oscar. A definite must watch movie!

This steelbook is great. The art subtly captures the intensity of the film. Phenomenal performances by Miles Teller and JK Simmons, whose work on this film earned him an Oscar for best supporting actor.

I love the simple design of it with a blood stained cymbal on the front and a blood stained drum case in the interior. Those simple images perfectly set you up for the wild ride that is Whiplash. What a great steelbook and great film.

All of the roommates enjoyed this award-winning movie, and the Blu-ray looked great on our high definition living room set. Miles Teller and J. K. Simmons create a powerful story with impressive performances (both as actors and musicians). Great price for the combo pack!

This is an intense and compelling story about a young man committee to be the best. He's driven by a not so traditional teacher that pushes him to the breaking point. The result is a remarkable combination of dramatic creativity and borderline insanity. Loved the movie!

Movie was one of the best the year it came out. I owned the regular Blu-ray version, and I waited for a sale on this steelbook, because it’s very aesthetically pleasing. I got it during a B1G1 free, so I was able to snag it for around $7.

All the accolades this movie has received for outstanding acting by J.K. Simmons & Miles Teller were accurate. Great movie. It takes a lot of brilliance from writing, directing, and acting to make me feel tense in a film that has no 'action.' Definitely would recommend.

Wow, totally blown away by how awesome this film is! Not sure why I did not catch this in the theater but I am glad I now own it on Blu-ray. Great film and also some great extra features, such as the short film that the full-length film is based on. Highly recommended.

A superb movie that grips you and doesn't let you go. This film is intense. So intense it can be uncomfortable at times, but it's masterful and enthralling. I can't recommend it enough.

I rented this movie in the past and loved it so much that I've been wanting to buy it, and I'm glad that I finally did. I highly recommend it for every musician and music lover. Even if you're not any of the two, it's a very intense movie that anyone can enjoy.

This is probably one of the best movies ever. I still like to own my movies in disc format and was very pleased to find this at Best Buy. Would recommend this movie to everyone
