I was skeptical about seeing this in theaters. I caught it on cable one day and I decided to watch it and it has become one of my favorite movies ever! JK Simmons and Miles Teller play excellent roles in this movie. Add this to your movie collection!

Whiplash is a fantastic movie full of great performances and great music; however, it can be hard to watch if you don't want to see someone get verbally and physically abused through a good chunk of it--it can be a trigger for some, so keep that in mind.

Even if you're not a fan of indie cinema this is a film you must see for the sheer greatness of the acting showcased here. Its even an academy award winner here for JK Simmons. Its that good and for the young Mr Teller too. Don't miss it at this great price.

There is a reason why JK Simmons won an award for his role in this movie. I first watched it on dvd from a rental service...once I was done, I placed a order on Bestbuy.com and own it now. Great drama and for all musicians this is a must. Especially for drummers.

First off, whiplash for me was the film of the year in 2014 if not on of the greatest of this generation. Superbly acted, shot and edited; this story will grip you from start to finish. The bluray itself is superb. The video quality and sound are too of the line.

Discovered that I had misplaced my blue-ray copy, I purchased a new one for viewing in the "boonies" where satellite and cable are limited. It is one my go to movies when friends are over and we want something to watch.

This movie is a showcase for Miles Teller. Seeing him rise, fall, and rise again throughout will keep you interested. Watching him and JK go at keeps you riveted; it's not about going faster it's about anger, hatred, jealousy, obsession, and respect.

An exhilarating experience! A near-perfect film and a definitely must own Blu-Ray that contains interesting Special Features, sharp video and top-notch audio. The movie is just as good as you probably have heard it is, recommended for every and any film lover!

Best Buy has always been my go-to place for steelbooks, and this another one that I'm glad to have. Even if you aren't a collector, the price of the steelbook is comparable to the regular blu ray and it just looks really cool.

Wasn't sure I would like this movie but turned out really enjoying it. I think it's a movie anyone who wants to play music should watch and anyone who has a family member who plays music should also watch. It;s a lot tougher than we all think.

Amazing movie and steelbook. The steelbook feels like more of a rough finish, which I like over the more smooth steelbook style. Also great price for $6

This movie was super entertaining and super fun. The music is great as well. I've watched it a bunch of times already and haven't even explored the special features yet. Easily, one of my favs in a long time. The blu-ray is great with plenty to explore.

Perhaps some of the best acting I've seen in years. J.K. Simmons is simply superb and the script writing is impeccable. A juggernaut of a cinematic performance. Bravo!

This movie features two extremely talented actors, Miles Teller and JK Simmons, in a telling story of an up and coming drummer and his interactions with a music instructor in an elite program. The Blu-Ray Disc is nicely done.

Miles Teller is really good in this movie. I forgot just how MEAN J.K. Simmons is in this movie. I like how he came around to respect Miles' ability at the end tho.

Whiplash has been one of the best movies I have seen in the last couple of years. It is up beat and exhilarating. J.K. Simmons gives us one of the best performances I have ever seen. this will captivate you from start to finish and leave you breathless.

This movie is excellent. Directing: perfect. Editing: some of the best ever. Writing: stellar. Acting: brilliant. Amazing debut for a budding filmmaker who displayed a wealth of talent, style, and voice. Then he made La La Land.

Good movie if you like some drama that is especiallyentertaining for themusicalpeople out there. If you were or maybe stil a Highschool band nerd this movie will sit in you collective memory and there are just so many parts of this film that brings back thoughs joyful and scandalous moments being in HS!

An awesome movie! Trust me, you don't have to be into drumming to enjoy this Film. The performances are out of this world and the steel book is the way to go!

This movie is very well-written and acted. I loved the movie, but ultimately purchased this version for the steelbook packaging. It's very attractive and a nice "collector's item" that will stay with me for a long time.
