This is a tough movie to watch at times because you just want to backhand Fletcher (played brilliantly by J.K. Simmons) sometimes. He pushes Andrew (Miles Teller) to his limits and then some, but his goal was to make Andrew the best musician he could be. And it worked. Irritating, aggravating and inspiring all at the same time.

JK Simmons is incredible and Miles Teller was surprisingly good, but the intensity of this movie was amazing. Draws you in and keeps you spellbound. Wow.

I bought this movie only for the great steelbook. After watching the movie, it is now one of my favorites. A must buy.

Whiplash takes you through an exciting dramatization about a music teacher so intent on pulling the best talent out of a particular student that he stretches the boundaries of mental abuse to achieve his goal. My family loved every minute of it and we were on the edge of our seats to see what was going to happen next.

This is one of the most intense and well-acted films I have watched in a long time, and it's about jazz drumming... Something I didn't care about until viewing this gem!

Swell of a movie. It may not be for everyone, but everyone should give 2 hours of their time to this movie

This film already looked great but the upgrade to 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos has taken this to the next level.

This is a very well made, but sad and scary film that has a lot of truth in what the 'teacher' says, but so sad for the kid he abused. Worth the watch!

Found out about this gem of a movie from a friend who recommended it for the music lover in my life. Great movie enjoyed by all in my home, not just the movie lover.

Great master on 4k. Atmos sound is amazing especially the background music from the bands instruments

My wife and I loved this movie. J.K. Simmons really deserved the Oscar for his role. A bit heavy on the language but an overall intense, compelling and gripping drama.

Words can not describe how good this movie is with every scene you feel that determination of wanting him to quit but he keeps going amazing acting music a mist watch
