From receiving emails with conflicting dates/times to last minute cancellations to no-shows to installation windows rivaling the classic cable guy. I wasn’t sure I was ever going to get it installed! Purchased November 18; finally installed January 13. Installers didn’t do good job of cleaning up their mess. Salesman was great; microwave unit is so-so. It’s the size I wanted but minimal controls/options. I can’t hear the timer when it completes cycles.

Nice looking but basic microwave.

What is worse is the sound this unit makes. When it is cooking it buzzes louder than a high school score board. I contacted Whirlpool and they told me it was normal. This unit, although expensive, is pure garbage.

Piece of very overpriced junk

Door is ever so slightly mishung, the light is a dim bulb of a bad joke. To top it off the plate and roller have some issue that leads to the plate tilting off the rollers every time we use it. It's underpowered as a range hood too. Not a best buy at all. Would not recommend.

I believe it should have 4 'wheels' not 3. Getting better at operating this unit, but my GE was much easier. BUT, I needed a low profile , so i will eventually get better at operating this new unit.

Whirlpool microhood

I had a problem in the installation process. The space allocated for it is exactly 30”. But the microwave is exactly 30”. Normally all appliances are 1/4 to 1/2” smaller so they can fit in a 30” space. In addition this unit is going to be installed right next to a wall. When you open the door, you need at least 1/4” more space, which I don’t have. To solve the problem, I had to move all the kitchen cabinets 1/2” to the right to accommodate for the door to open freely. Very labor intensive. I wish Whirlpool reduces the length of the microwave by 1/2” like all major appliances.

The chime when through cooking is very low, but I read that in other reviews, so it wasn’t a surprise. Don’t know what Whirlpool was thinking on that. I does need to be louder. It holds every dish I use in my other full size one!
