Arrived on-time and the installation was a breeze. Watch the installation video from the oem for clarification purposes. I installed it myself so it couldn't be that hard.

I think it looks beautiful in my new kitchen but… every part of the exterior requires non stop cleaning. The stainless and is it glass or plastic show every single finger print. I bought online and picked up, I would recommend looking at in person before purchasing. The gray piece that balances the interior glass plate continually goes off balance, my husband and I have both had to repeatedly adjust. It cooks well.

So far I love it. Purchased to replace over range hood . The exhaust fan works amazing. Microwave works as it should everything I have wanted to put in this low profile microwave fits .. it a little expensive for a microwave but for some reason it is the only manufacturer of a low profile microwave (Whirlpool makes Kitchen Aid) so if you want one it’s your only choice at this point but still cheaper than purchasing new smaller cabinet over range and then purchasing a standard over range microwave.. also great to have additional counter space

Great compact microwave to go over the stove, would never buy the full sized version again.

Purchased this to replace a 12 year old Whirlpool combination microwave-convection oven over our range. Went with this model to open up the space above the range which it does nicely, and because it has powerful ventilation fans. We do a lot of Asian cooking - stir fry, etc. so strong ventilation fans to our outside vent is an important feature. While this model certainly works OK as a microwave and a vent, I do have some cons to report: It's microwave heating is not as good our previous unit (also a Whirlpool but much larger size). Heats up liquids and mixed plates of food OK (and quickly) but struggles to heat up a piece of (previously cooked) frozen pizza evenly. Our old unit did a great job of melting and even browning/crisping cheese on top of pasta bowls, chili, etc, this oven struggles to even melt the cheese while the liquid below bubbles furiously. Maybe our old unit was an anomaly but I really miss how it was able to cook cheese on top of dishes. While the vent fans are indeed strong in this unit, the routing of the exhaust through the unit and to the top external outlet is not very good - there are plenty of cracks and corners where the vented air escapes back into the room (pretty strongly), as others have reported. This could definitely be improved in the design - the whole point of this model is to be/act more like a good vent hood and we don't want the smoky/oily exhaust air to be blowing back into the room. I wouldn't say it is terrible - it does a good job venting, but this is an annoying little detail to experience after having purchased it for it's (marketed) venting prowess. There are just a few simple control touch-buttons on the exterior, the numeric entry pad is exposed only when the door is open. I was worried about this initially but find that it's not a problem and I'm happy with the controls design. Others have reported the "I'm done" sound is too quiet on this unit - I actually like that it doesn't blare out so loudly - I don't need my appliances screaming at me. The vent fans on our old unit screamed like jet engines, the fans on this unit have a much less annoying sound/tone which we enjoy. The carousel design is so-so, the 3-wheel spinner device under the carousel plate can easily move out of its tracks leaving the carousel spinning in a tilted precarious manner. A cup of water off-center on the carousel can sometimes cause this to happen. The design could be improved with a slightly larger diameter spinner device and/or one with 4 wheels. All in all we are reasonably satisfied with this microwave but feel it is not quite as top-of-the-line as the purchase price suggests, and hope that Whirlpool can improve some of the design deficiencies in future versions.

Works as it should. Very good product. Need it because the hood system for my stove stopped working and I didn’t have a microwave at the time.

Very pleased with this microwave. It gives me the extra space needed. I do miss having the auto touch timed buttons but that is minor compared to the clearance I now have between the stove top and microwave.

I bought this microwave so that we wouldn't have to configure the kitchen cabinets!! We love it! Its slim and sleek!!

I had bought an over the counter microwave because the house we bought didnt have any microwave at all. We needed a new refrigerator and dishwasher so we walked in to best buy and check out some of the deals. Well we ended up purchasing a whole appliance package. Also we started with the samsung package but the microwave we chose wasnt going to fit so we had to change it all up. This microwave is small and cute. I love the buttons and all its functions. I didnt have to do anything to my existing rangehood. The guys came removed it and installed the microwave. I love how it doesnt do the beep when it is done. It does more of a ring chime. I absolutely love that.

Works are expected. No issues. I like how this gives me more space above my stove vs my old regular microwave.

Sleek slim microwave, we had to get this size due to the space above our oven. Works great, the buttons are inside of the door which took some time to adjust to but your power on for 30 secs and open buttons are on the outside. Plenty of space inside the microwave

Sleek, clean design with hidden buttons except for the few that you need to use often. The air pull is efficient, but it could be stronger. The thinner design means there is a greater distance from the stove top, so steam and odors tend to linger rather than getting pulled fully into the vents. Underside lighting is good. Not a lot of presets, but enough.

I bought this microwave approximately two years ago. I don't like over-the-range microwaves, but this thing looks so good, I had to get it. On Thanksgiving 2020, it started malfunctioning. It intermittently stops cooking and illuminating inside. When it malfunctions, the control panel lights up as it should, but the buttons don't do anything. Apparently its a common problem with this unit. I watched several repair videos on YT, and the repair is quite involved. Apparently the main fuse can only be accessed by taking down the oven (which is not a one person job) and removing the entire outside of the body. Further the control panel switches cannot be replaced individually. The whole panel must be replaced. I hope Best Buy offers a solution.

Didn’t give 5 stars because it doesn’t have one touch settings. On my old microwave, I could press only the 2 for 2 minutes, etc. On this one, you must press 2-0-0 and start for 2 minutes. Not a deal breaker. It does look very nice.

The microwave works well and the low profile is a great space-opener above the stovetop !

This is an amazing product that was exactly what we need in our home. Our house was built in 1979 and we did not have much space above our stove. This fit perfectly.

When you need more room for bigger taller pots on stovetop this is the Best One! Plus pop open door and no fingerprint SS. Wow!

This microwave was the only one we could find to replace out exhaust hood over our stove that would fit with the correct amount of space between the top of the stove to the bottom of the microwave. It’s very nice looking, works good, only downside is the stainless steel is hard to keep clean, but that is pretty normal for stainless appliances. Little pricey but, kinda expected for its unique size and shape.
